Criminal Investigations Division

Criminal Investigations Division

The Criminal Investigations Division (CID) is comprised of officers who investigate major crimes, assist with investigation of more minor offenses, and follow-up on criminal cases initiated by patrol.  CID officers often find themselves working on several cases at the same time.

CID officers are also responsible for coordinating the transportation of persons who are in custody on local warrants as well as transportation to and from court proceedings for these people.

CID regularly supports patrol division members with larger and more complex cases. The division takes pride in having the knowledge and resources to solve most any offense that occurs within the City. In addition, our CID members frequently assist outside agencies with investigations and follow-up.
