Augusta Department of Public Safety
Program

The Augusta Department of Public Safety (ADPS) adopted the program in 1998.

The "Drug Abuse Resistance Education" program teaches kids the importance of just saying "NO" to drugs and violence.  The information presented to the elementary school students (K-5), teaches them the 8 ways to say "NO"! At the end of the 11 week program a culmination, or graduation, is held for the students that have successfully completed the course. Each student receives a certificate of completion for his or her effort.
